Japan now has some good distilleries that produce quality distillates. These include the White Oak Distillery in the city of Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, overlooking the inner sea of Seto. The distillery belongs to the Eigashima Brewery, active in the production of alcohol since 1679, and in particular of whiskey since 1919. The Tokinoka White Oak is a blended whiskey of different single malts of various years as evidenced by the name which means' fragrance of time '. Great to enter the world of Japanese whiskeys.
Three Senses
The nose is simple, not too complex, with notes of dried fruit, apricot and honey.The palate is what strikes you with the excellent viscosity and smoothness that makes it particularly palatable.In the finish the note of honey remains that leaves a good memory and invites you to return to the glass.
