Nuova Regina is another creature of Ar.Pe.Pe. from a single vineyard, already shown in the maps of the 1800s. Attached to the Red Rocks, the "New Queen" reaches over 450 meters above altitude, up to the road that leads from S.Anna to Triasso. In this vineyard emerges more rock than earth, and here the greatest number of old vines are preserved: a heritage of ancient genes that in the best years gives one of the longest and most precious reserves, as only the fruit of a completely manual processing can give.

The processing technique does not differ from the other reserves: the November harvest was followed by a maceration on the skins of about 3 months in 50 hl wooden vats, then a 3-year aging in barrels and wooden vats to end its path in the cellar between concrete and bottle.

The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Riserva Nuova Regina DOCG succeeds in making you realize how exciting a red wine from Valtellina can be, if you are lucky enough to taste it with the right amount of time to wait: of magnificent essentiality, in the mouth it surprises for its cleanliness and freshness and, thanks to the versatility of Nebbiolo delle Alpi, it succeeds in giving its best on all international tables.

In 1984 Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, strong of the experience obtained in the farm with in his father and grandfather, decided to give life to ARPEPE in order to bring out the full potential of a unique terroir like the Valtellina. With all the pride and tenacity necessary for such a target, he began producing age Nebbioli following the rules of the pi & ugrave; ancient tradition. Today Isabella, Emanuele and Guido carry on his father's work. In a few years, thanks to careful technological innovations and the selection of a young staff Arturo's dream has come true: his precious and limited production is now back to being a reference in the national and international wine scene.
