Champagne Brut Nature Les Crayeres Domaine des Tuileries 2019
Les Crayeres is a Brut Nature champagne made from a blend of Pinot Noir (45%), Chardonnay (45%) and Pinot Meunier (10%). All grapes are harvested from vineyards in Venteuil in the Vallée de la Marne.
All estate vineyards are in conversion to organic farming.
The winemaking process is conducted in fut and aging is instead conducted in the Venteuil cellar, a natural chalk cellar that allows the temperature to be kept constant at all times and thus have the perfect evolution of the champagne.
Champagne Domaine des Tuileries - Venteuil
Bryan Marx, heir to Champagne Marx Coutelas, is the founder of Domaine des Tuileries. Very few hectares of vineyards planted in Venteuil in the Vallée de la Marne.
The vines have an average age of 30-40 years and the varieties are those most typical of Champagne namely Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The vineyards are planted on soils consisting mainly of chalk and clay and are mostly south-facing.
Venteuil is home to the natural chalk cellar where Champagnes are aged mainly in oak barrels.
