The world of so-called ‘fortified’ wines is often difficult and complicated, and Port is no exception.

The Douro Valley is the cradle of Port. Through its three sub-zones (Baio Corgo, Cima Corgo, Douro Superior) some 250,000 hectares of vineyards extend along the course of the river, but only 32,000 are authorised for the production of Port grapes.

The ‘Região Demarcada do Douro’ was declared a Unesco heritage site in 2001.

With this appointment we will be transported to this fascinating place and taste its nectar, shrouded in mystery but also world famous.
