With a comparison through the best Romagna wines produced elsewhere.

Sangiovese has been at home in Romagna for centuries, but only in the last decade has the average quality of production spread to every regional district, leading to a new era of Romagna wine. 

Until the early 1910s of the new millennium, good producers were few, more committed to enhancing their own brand and style than to realizing a hypothesis of territory; by contrast, today those same winemakers and others of a new generation like to consider themselves part of a community and intend to claim a sense of belonging. 

Strictly as a consequence, Romagna Sangioveses have changed, there is in them a greater connection with places, they are different from each other and through tasting it is possible to place them in their sphere of origin, with little margin for error. 

At the center of this small revolution is the agro of Modigliana, where a group of producers is rallying around an idea of terroir that must now be considered the Grand Cru of Romagna. 

In the tasting we will taste a wide and all-encompassing range of Sangiovese from Modigliana, which will be followed by a reasoned selection of the best Sangiovese produced elsewhere, in the many subzones of the territory.

We will taste a total of 16 wines of high territorial value.
