Az Agr Monte di Grazia di Arpino Alfonso - Tramonti

Winery Monte di Grazia

Monte di Grazia in Tramonti, in the middle of the Lattari Mountains, is the absolute celebration of biodiversity on the Amalfi Coast.

The winery was founded in 1993 thanks to the great passion of Alfonso Arpino, who began taking care of the family vineyards and after some time decided to acquire other vineyards in the area, arriving at the 3 hectares planted with vines today plus another 2 hectares planted with coppice and chestnut trees. Today it is Olivia and Fortunato, Alfonso's children, who continue the heroic work undertaken by their father.

The century-old vines, which reach up to 40cm in diameter, sink their roots into volcanic soils composed of pumice, Vesuvius sand and red earth and dwell on terraces harmoniously set between the sea and the mountain where they create a unique microclimate and a panorama that is nothing short of spectacular.

Viticulture is managed, as it once was, in a curtain system where tomatoes, zucchini, basil and many other vegetables are also grown between vines.

The varieties grown are all native to the Amalfi Coast: Tintore, Moscio and Piedirosso for the black grapes and Ginestra, Pepella and Biancatenera for the white grapes.

In the winery, between steel containers and a few small chestnut barrels, the wines are born and mature using non-interventionist practices.

Monte di Grazia's wines are the result of completely manual hard work and are straightforward, clean, elegant and delicious wines that encapsulate all the Mediterranean and peasant soul of the Amalfi Coast
