Vigne Mastrodomenico

Vigne Mastrodomenico

In 1999 Donato Mastrodomenico, an agronomist and with a passion for viticulture decided to set up eight hectares of vine aglianico vineyards, turning the real vocation of all the family lands into reality, which until then had produced wine from the vineyards of only one part of land owned. In 2005, however, the Mastrodomenico family decided to also give a commercial label to the wine produced: the Likos was born. Two years later, the presence of the talented winemaker Cristoforo Pastore is also present.
The vineyard of about 8ha is located in rapola, in the red water district, near the protected area of the Dam of Rendina. The soils of volcanic nature with a strong iron note, and careful processing (according to the biological standard) make sure that every harvest can guarantee a high quality. The winery is ancient and carved into the tufaceous rock, thus creating a natural habitat for the Aglianico Del Vùlture. Emanuela Mastrodomenico, although graduated in law and with good prospects in the academic world from Turin decides to return to her country of origin, Barile in Basilicata, devote herself totally to the promotion and enhancement of what her family with sacrifices and passion He has made. In small steps "the small family-run winery" is known all over the world for its quality and craftsmanship of its wines, strong and elegant like the aglianico of vulture that in the company's flagship product, the Likos, expresses its best interpretation.
