The Chateau vineyard La Mission Haut Brion, between the towns of Talence and Pessac, owes its name, origin and ancient reputation to a congregation called "Congregation de la Mission", founded in the 17th century from Saint Vincent de Paul. This property had been left by Madame de Lestonnac. The priests of the mission possessed a great art of choosing the land and selecting the vineyard. In fact, they were the true founders of this wine estate as we know it today. Their meticulous attention and careful attention have immediately brought their fruits, giving La Mission a great reputation worldwide today.
