Barolo from the Municipality of Barolo: there is no more Barolo than this. This wine comes from a small vineyard in Terlo and from some plots in the Sarmassa.
It starts with a fermentation with maceration on the skins that can reach up to fifty days, to continue with an aging in oak barrels for two years, and then close with another two years of aging in the bottle: the Barolo of the Scarzello winery is a Barolo which tells the most ancient and deep-rooted traditions of the area.

Three Senses

Barolo Scarzello is a highly drinkable wine that does not renounce the traditional elegance of artisan wines from the Langa. With this bottle there is the possibility of drinking a Barolo that recalls red fruits, ribers, rose with a touch of menthol as well. The taste is soft, with a central pulp and a long and fine tannin.

Since the postwar period, the Scarzello family, led by Giuseppe Scarzello, then head of the cellar in a historic cellar in Barolo, has always vinified batches of grapes, selling in demijohn or destined for consumption after work run by his grandmother in Barolo.
The reins have now passed to Giuseppe's son, Federico who with his wife and his tireless mother take care of the vineyards and the entire production process, as well as the sale in the cellar.

since 1998, it is the true soul of this reality that is attracting the spotlight of the purists of Langa. After the oenological school in Alba, you decided to bottle what was sold in bulk.
The company has 5 hectares of vineyards, of which 2 and a half in Nebbiolo da Barolo, 2 hectares in the Sarmassa vineyard and half a hectare in the Terlo vineyard, with ages ranging from 5 to 30 years. In charge there is also a Barbera d'Alba Superiore.
Scarzello wines go in search of an identity of the territory, after all with a lot of work in the vineyard and little intervention in the cellar, it is the terroir of this wine-growing area that is envied all over the world to stand out.
