The Poulsard also called Ploussard is the wine with the greatest personality of the Domaine de La Renardiere. The grapes come from a 28-year-old vineyard placed on calcareous clay soils with a good presence of red marls. The fermentation and subsequent maceration of the unpeeled grapes takes place in steel containers. Then follows a maturation in large wood for 12 months. No sulfites are added!

Domaine Renardiere

Domaine de la Renardiere Jura

Jean Michel Petit returns to Jura after studying with his wife and decides to start this little domaine of just 6.5 hectars starting from the two hectares of vineyard owned by his family. This choice was not casual since Domaine de la Renardiere's vineyards are today on one of the most interesting terroir in the Jura. The marnes that characterizes the vineyards of Jean Michel gives depth and flavor to its wines. Jean Michel has always been involved in the respectful work of the soils and in the use of organic fertilizers. The domaine now works in a rigorous integrate agriculture regime, utilizing some biodynamic preparations. To make white and red wines, they use foudres of 500 liters and  barriques of 228 liters of barriques. At  the Domaine there are Ploussard, Trousseau, Chardonnay varieties and of course Savagnin.
