Whispering Angel is now the world reference for Provence rosé. Made from Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino), its light color is pleasing to the eye and commands attention. The rewarding flavor profile is full and lush while being dry with a smooth finish.

Highly enjoyable with a wide range of dishes, Whispering Angel is a quality rosé that can be enjoyed at any time of day and in any situation.

Created by Sacha Lichine after his acquisition of Château d'Esclans in 2006, with the clear plan to create the world's greatest rosés, igniting the "Rosé Renaissance."

Sacha introduced new and innovative winemaking techniques in Provence that revolutionized the styles of rosés produced in the region.
This led to the creation of Whispering Angel, a world-class rosé that presents both facility and accessibility for enjoyment and pleasure.

Sacha Lichine, of this wine, says, "In the Esclans Valley, angels whisper. If you drink this wine, you might hear them. If you visit us, you might see them."

Three Senses

Whispering Angel's nose expresses notes of fresh red fruits and a floral bouquet. It is ripe and fleshy on the palate. The absence of residual sugar makes it dry. A wine with great concentration and a smooth, rounded finish without any astringency.
This rosé is extremely easy to drink. Regardless of the style of wine you are used to drinking, everyone appreciates Whispering Angel.

Chateau d'Esclans - La Motte

Chateau d'Esclans

Château d'Esclans is located on an exceptional site on elevated ground near the Gorges de Pennafort, twenty-five kilometers northwest of the ancient Roman city of Frejus on the Mediterranean coast.

The earliest traces of the castle site date back to the time of the Gallic people during which its location served as an observation point to detect intruders arriving by boat in the Gulf of Frejus.

The cellar structure or castle foundation (known today as the oldest in the region) housed an original castle that was given by the Count of Provence to Gérard De Villeneuve, in 1201.
The present castle, inspired by the design of the Tuscan villa, was built during the mid-19th century.

In 2006 the property was acquired by Sacha Lichine. From a very young age he has worked in the world of wine, first in the family business, Chateau Prieuré Lichine, then as a sommelier, then in the business of negociant and creating a line of products that are carefully selected from all over France.

With the acquisition of Chateau d'Esclans, Lichine's goal is to elevate the focus on the world of rosés by beginning what he calls the "Rosé Renaissance."
