Emilia Romagna wines
Emilia Romagna, a place of great variety in landscape and types of wines produced. The contrast between coast and mountains, marine influences on the one hand and continental climate on the other, as well as the soil, sandy, silty, alluvial, frank, creates that climatic diversity that favors benefit to the vines. Sangiovese is produced on a large scale and is at its best on high ground in the Apennines. Another red berry protagonist is Lambrusco in its different varieties, Barbera, Croatina. White grapes include Trebbiano, Malvasia, Pignoletto, Albana, and of course all the international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, etc.
