Bianco Halarà arrived at his second outing. After three years of thoughts and reasoning on these very few available bunches of Catarratto in Marsala, the group of winemakers has created a unique wine.

In fact, this white grape variety, one of the most important in Sicily and Italy, has been brought to a new dimension, that is, vinified in an oxidative style.

Obtained from 100% Catarratto grapes, from a single vineyard located in the Abbadessa district of Marsala with the presence of clay and a sedimentary rock substrate (limestone).

Direct pressing of the grapes with hyperoxidation of the must, 50% chestnut, 50% steel. One year in the tanks and the rest in the bottle.

The choice to wait for this wine derives from the idea of best expressing the complex character of Marsala whites, enhancing their ability to evolve and mature in the bottle.

A reasoning also based on the characteristics of the vine itself which tends to oxidize. In fact, it is usually used in Marsala blends.

The long refinement contributed greatly to embellishing this white wine.

"Pole Pole" in Swahili language, in the territories of Kenya and Tanzania, means "slowly" and there is no tourist who, for at least the time of stay, does not make this philosophy his own.

The same thing happens to the now consolidated "Holiday Group" of 6 very friendly and talented winemakers who took inspiration from this philosophy in Greece where "Halarà" to the Hellenic translation of "do it calmly" or, if you prefer, "relax and reflect".

The idea then arose from the moment in which this blessed vineyard, not far from the vineyards of Nino Barraco, risks being lost forever. Our farmers roll up their hands and decide to keep it. The Marsalese sapling plants, grow in Marsala, with a beautiful northern exposure, kissed by the sun and the Mediterranean wind.

The white berry is from Catarratto and the red berry from Parpato, an almost extinct grape and on which I have been loses premium vinifications and if positive positive responses have increased.

The group of 6 talented winemakers is made up of Nino Barraco, Giovanni Scarfone (Bonavita), Francesco Ferreri (Tanca Nica), Corrado and Valeria Dottori (La Distesa), Francesco De Franco (A 'Vita) and Stefano Amerighi from that of Cortona.

A dream for all artisanal wine enthusiasts to see them together and even more to taste a common wine.
