In the lands of Marsala Pierpaolo and Beatriz have decided to plant a grape which is the Spanish answer to cabernet sauvignon or Tempranillo. A variety that gives strength to many Spanish reds. But the biggest challenge was to think of it in a blend together with nero d'avola. This is how Contrada Delia Nivolelli produced a wine full of personality, without excessive richness but rather marking a genuine and juicy character. As always, the vineyard is managed by Pierpaolo who has inherited obsessive care through work plant by plant from his family. The wine obtained is then neither clarified nor filtered.

Three Senses
In the last tasting, the Temprano di Badalucco from La Iglesias Garcia proved to be a true champion of excellence. Complete wine in all parts, showing the fruit notes in a less ripe, very juicy version reminiscent of yellow fruit. Also balanced in the blend, it gives a scratchy and fine final phase. A superlative, accessible and guaranteed bottle for one of the most appreciated artisanal tastings in Southern Italy.

Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia

Winery Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia

Badalucco de la Iglesia Garcia is a name that one wonders about first of all because of its origin. In fact, to describe this winery we must start by placing the pointer on Sicily and precisely between Mazara del Vallo and Marsala. Pierpaolo Badalucco was born in this territory, the last of a generation of workers in close contact with the land. Precisely on these Red Lands the vine, thanks also to the proximity of the sea, finds fertile soil.

When Pierpaolo meets Beatriz in her home region of Andalusia, he also finds many similarities with the vineyards in the Jerez area. With great tenacity and passion he convinced Beatriz de La Iglesia Garcia to move to Sicily and continue to safeguard the family genetic heritage, enriching it with two Spanish vines, Tempranillo and Verdejo, thus creating a synergy between Italy and Spain. This also explains why their company is called Dos Tierras.
