From 4 hectares of Nebbiolo in Rabajà area, with south, south-west exposure. The wine ages 20/22 months in Slavonian oak woods of different capacities, from 17 to 25 hectoliters, and of varying ages, from new to 8/9 years. After the assembly, the wine refines a minimum of 10 months in the bottle.

Giuseppe Cortese
The history of the cellar Giuseppe Cortese dates back to 1971, since then it has been aiming at defending the territory to enhance the great wines of Barbaresco. A great wine originates from the territory, and the Cortese family produces vineyards in the area of Rabajà and Trifolera. On the slopes of Rabajà, one of the most great cru nebbiolo from Barbaresco, the soils are calcareous, with a good exposition and very old vineyards. On the side of Trifolera the expostition are variable and there are true expressions of Chardonnay and Barbera. On these soils, cradled by favorable climatic conditions, with heavy rain and stormy winters, the nebbiolo takes advantage of the soils with strong limestone marc, to reach that degree of aromatic complexity and longevity proper of Barbaresco.
