Since the vintage 2016 a new assembly begins that gives life to the White Malterdinger. The entry into the production of young Chardonnay grapes together with the older and more mature Pinot Blanc gives a touch of vitality and freshness to the mineral expressive depth of the old vineyards. From 5 to 55 years of age, the plants have an average yield of about 60 hl / ha and grow on calcareous clay soils rich in shells. The vinification and malolactic fermentation is left spontaneously in used barriques for a total of 18 months. Bottled unfiltered.

Three Senses
The Malterdinger Bernard Huber is an ode to the great white wines of the world. A glass with the ability to awaken any palate bored and tired by flat wines. Expression of juice, personality, vigor that highlights the more briny notes than ever. The thin nose collects a cellar precision, an expert hand ready to elaborate a persuasive and elegant white.

Bernhard Huber

Bernhard Huber Cantina

Bernhard Huber stands on the ancient soils that over 700 years ago were chosen by the Cistercian monks to found a curia, the Moenche estate. Brought with the vines of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which find here an ideal soil, comparable to Burgundy, which alternates profiled layers of calcareous rich in shells with finer, clayey and Loess soils. The permeability of the soil forces the vines to take deep roots, where all the minerality to be brought to the fruit is best gathered. The wines are so appreciated that in the past the Malterdinger period had become synonymous with Pinot Noir in the classic books of the time. Loved and known under this name, the wines were highly sought after in Switzerland, the Allgäu and the Bavarian Danube valley. Today Bernhard Huber can count on a team of young professionals who assist in all phases of the product, from cultivation to bottling, respecting the terroir, grapes, and the course of interventions in wine, bottled without filtration.
