Madonne Delle Grazie owes its name to the nearby church of 1200, where the company's historic vine grows. A particular selection of these best grapes, grown in mineral soils of sea sand, is pressed and left to ferment completely still in allier oak vats for about 20/22 days, at a temperature of about 30 degrees that reaches after 5 days. It ages in large oak barrels for about 41 months, during which it tries to preserve the natural aromas of Sangiovese without letting wood prevail. After 10 months from bottling, Brunello Di Montalcino Madonna Delle Grazie is ready to reach the greatest wine lovers.

Il Marroneto

il marroneto vineyard

The vineyards of Il Marroneto extend along the north slope of the hill, about 350m high, in the immediate vicinity of the walls of Montalcino.

Great attention was paid to the plant, finalizing each work to obtain the highest quality of the grapes. For this reason the vineyards of Il Marroneto are arranged so that each plant has available 3.6 square meters, allowing the vine of Sangiovese, which feeds on the surface, to have the space for a good rooting.

The management of the vineyard, then, is based on a traditional and minimalist philosophy that practices practices and systems used in respect of the plants, treating the vines as a minimum and avoiding intensive production.

The grape harvest is the fundamental moment: the bunch is harvested only when the stalk begins to turn on the burnt colors, indicating that the grape seeds have reached the right ripeness.

The grape seeds, once they have ripened, give the wine the vegetable tannins, essential for making the wine young, bright and long-lived.
