Kikusui Distillery

Home-grown sugarcane, sake yeasts and the indomitable spirit of the samurai. In the far south of the Japanese archipelago, on the island of Shikoku, the historic Kikusui distillery oversees the entire production process to create a rare artisanal gem: Ryoma Rum. In the village of Kuroshio, thanks to an exceptionally favourable microclimate, the distillery grows its own sugarcane. From this pure virgin juice (pure sugarcane), fermented with the historic indigenous sake yeasts, a surprising agricultural rum of unmistakable quality is produced.

The subsequent ageing in Japanese white oak barrels shapes an exceptionally rounded, smooth and delicate sensory profile. Dedicated to Sakamoto Ryoma, the heroic samurai who changed the country’s history in the 19th century, this spirit combines an exotic flair with the legendary artisanal precision of the Land of the Rising Sun. A rare and utterly captivating label, designed to amaze collectors and redefine the boundaries of signature mixology.
