Verdicchio Issimo Vignedileo 2015

Vignedileo's flagship Verdicchio is named after its high standard. The challenge undertaken turns out to be a real surprise in the world of Verdicchio. The grapes grow on tufaceous and sandy soil, rich in calcium. Hence the idea of ageing it in steel containers for a good seven long years.

And it was in this container that the wine surpassed itself and developed unique sensations. Almost as if to prove that such a great grape does not need any wood at all. On the contrary, the integrity of the grape in a neutral container gives other emotions.

The history of Vignedileo has ancient origins, as the great-grandparents of Emanuele and Gianfilippo, who now run the company, began cultivating vines over a century ago. Vignedileo has 36 hectares under vine and concentrates its production on Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, which is also flanked by red wines from Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes and an excellent extra-virgin olive oil.
