Maison Roguet delights us with a new vintage, 2015. Mainly Pinot Noir, it presented a cuvee with 20% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. Aging of 4 years and a dose of 5 g / l.

Three Senses

Of a good yellow it shows itself with elegant silver reflections. The bubble is subtle, like the finest Champagnes. The nose recalls exotic fruit and spicy notes. The taste is frank, citrus fruits appear in close contact with ripe fruit and the spice becomes delicate again. The savory finish leaves the palate lively and eager for a new taste.

Lucien Roguet

The Maison Lucien Roguet has been active in Mailly since 1870. All the experience of generations of winemakers contributes to the extreme elegance and refinement of its Champagnes with very controlled aromatic power. The Maison still produces today from its own vineyards under full control, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The noble wood chosen for the aging of the best vintages contributes to the heritage of reserve wines.

There are only 7 hectares of vineyards, divided into 25 plots and all in the territory of Mailly-Champagne, all classified as Grand Cru. The three vines authorized by the Grand Cru (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay) grow on the mountains of Reims facing north-east and have their roots in soils rich in chalk.

The care of the plants is entrusted to a team trained on site, capable of extracting the best from the single plant. The harvest is manual, plant by plant, taking the necessary time. It is only in this way that the control is total and the grapes that arrive in the press are of the highest quality.

A new journey begins in the cellar, made up of many stages, technical refinement and gustatory capacity. The whole family contributes to the creative process and historical continuity.

Lucien Roguet bottled the House's first champagne. Unfortunately, however, the Second World War interrupted his projects and returned to the vicinity of Toulouse, he never abandoned these areas. Fortunately, the son Pol had other plans. Back in Champagne he resumed where his father left off, and his sons are now continuing on the path he traced.
