Lazio Bianco Igt Lago Bianco Atto 2024
Lago Bianco is born at 450 metres above sea level from vines more than 50 years old, located in Montefiascone near Lake Bolsena.
The terroir is composed of fine, dark sand rich in tuff and basalt. The blend consists of 80% Trebbiano Giallo (Roscetto) and Trebbiano Toscano (Procanico), completed by 20% Malvasia.
The grapes are pressed as whole clusters, fermentation occurs spontaneously, and the wine is aged for 9 months in stainless steel and small wooden vessels.
All movements of the wine follow the lunar calendar.
Atto - Montefiascone (VT)
Atto is the story of Gianmarco, Giovanni, Emanuele, and Gian Mario.
In 2023 they founded Atto, vini a divenire (“wines in becoming”). The idea behind this expression is that wine is something alive and constantly evolving, shaped both by the rhythms of nature and by human choices.
Their goal is to rediscover and preserve indigenous grape varieties and ancient vineyards in order to protect the historical agricultural identity of the Lake Bolsena area, a territory long recognised for its suitability for viticulture, yet increasingly threatened over recent decades by the replanting of younger, more productive vines and by the introduction of international grape varieties not naturally connected to this terroir.
Historical research, respect for local culture, and traditional vineyard practices represent only the starting point of their philosophy, which is combined with an approach to winemaking rooted in innovative techniques and modern expertise.
