Riecine - Gaiole in Chianti

Riecine Cantina

Located on the picturesque hills of Gaiole, Riecine has established itself over more than four decades as one of the most important estates in Chianti Classico.

The estate was founded in 1971 by the Englishman John Dunkley, starting with just over one hectare taken from the historic Badia a Coltibuono, and is now expertly managed by Alessandro Campatelli.

The property spans 35 hectares, of which 15 are dedicated to vineyards, distributed among several estates, each with distinctive soils: Casina, with sandy and heavy soils; Vertine, with calcareous and stony soils; and Riecine, the historic estate, home to the oldest vines dating back to 1968, planted on clay and galestro soils.
